About Chonen Daas

Welcome to Chonen Daas

Yeshivas Chonen Daas brings learning the Shulchan Aruch to a whole new level. The Yeshiva incorporates classical meforshim in a concise and clear manner, with the option to delve further into each halacha, and offers semicha for interested students.

The Yeshiva has many years of successful teaching and learning programs under the auspices of our Rosh Yeshiva, HaRav Daniel Channen. Rav Channen created the Issur V'Heter course and developed other courses for students at different levels.

These courses have taught students the basics in Kashrus, Shabbos, business relations, Niddah, and everyday Jewish living. Many students have received semicha and gone on to teach chaburas at other institutions and schools.

Rav Channen is the author of several works, including Tallis Ends and Other Tales, Keeping Kosher in the Kitchen, and educational materials used in Yeshivas Chonen Daas programs. His interactive teaching style makes complex halacha accessible to students at many levels.

HaRav Chaim Zev Malinowitz, Morah Do'asra Beis Tefilah in Ramat Beit Shemesh, gives his full haskama to Rav Channen's learning and semicha programs, as well as Yeshivas Chonen Daas. Rav Channen teaches out of Beis Tefila in the mornings and evenings and provides chaburas worldwide.
